It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

What I'm looking for:
Everything! Wolves, foxes, fennec foxes, ferrets, servals, bobcats, tigers, other big cats, small cats, deers, dragons, gryphons, dogs, birds, hybrids, original species.. bring it!
I'm leaving the details to your imagination, but here are some things I really like:
-White base color with black and red markings<33 (mostly on canines)
-Cute and fluffy things! No need to go all big eyes and oversized heads, but animals with fur. Creepy and slimy things just aren't my thing.. Still don't be afraid to make something dark/evil
-Anything tribal
-Native american stuff
-Feathers!
-Tawny, golden, brown, white, red, blue, cyan, gray, black (well, not all combined)
-I like more natural base colors, but with smaller markings in unnatural colors like blue or red

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.
And this is becoming a growing problem, I think, because n
Callibrate your Wacom tutorialHad you  finally  made  the transition from intuos 3 to intuos 4?, or Are you rich to change into an intuos 5? Had you made the transition from a first generation cintiq  to the new ones?. More levels of pressure will mean  more quality to the paintings, am i right?. 
Did you thought that by default the pen will it be like using butter on bread?, you try it for the first time and you love all of it, you said i have sooooooo much control on my strokes im having a blast. Then only  to realize you only have total control of the brush but when you are moving it really slow?. But when you do quick strokes the pressure drops a lot of paint making you redraw tons of stuff?
Did you ever thought that painter its hard to handle with new tablet? Too much pressure? If it has more pressure why i cant control more easier the beggining of the stroke which is more crucial?.

Happy new year talented people!

I only wanted to say hello everyone, I'm still alive!!! Many days passed since the last time I updated this journal and... I believe that my last deviation was in October. I was very busy working a lot in a big project for a client that finally didn't work =/ and then holidays came round, etc... So, I haven't been able to check the works and journals of people I watch, or to submit new stuff.

About work, the end of 2009 wasn't as good I had wanted to be. However a freelancer's life is like this. Not only it is freedom and happiness but also hard work, specially during bussiness meeting time. You have to split yourself in two parts, the creative artist :pc: :painter: and the intelligent representative :phonecall: :dollarus: :eager: . This split personality it's too stressing to me. Which has a negative outcome on the production of my own stuff. :doh:

So,I'm planning this year in a different way now. I'm going place the focus on my own projects and make money through little jobs only for already known clients and making commissions (caricatures :pointr: [link] ) here in DA.

What do you think? Is it possible to earn good money making commissions? Do you know another way to make money trough your own stuff? I really really appreciate your comments. Let me know your experience as an independent artist.

I'm finding long projects really draining.... I'm still trying to figure a way to balance my life. But if you find a answer let me know!
